How long is the class?

According to bankruptcy code and rules all debtor education classes must take approximately 120 minutes to complete. This course follows all guidelines and requirements of the US Trustee.

Once I’ve started, can I stop and start the course again at a later time?

Yes. You can start and stop your class at any time. The web page automatically saves your progress and allows you to pick up where you left off or review previous material. You can log in and out as many times as you need and go at your own pace.

Will I get a certificate at the end of the class?

Yes. You will be issued a certificate from the Executive Office for US Trustee’s certificate generating system, the official and only source of all valid bankruptcy certificates. Students in North Carolina and Alabama will be issued a certificate that complies with the requirements of the Bankruptcy Administrator.

When will I receive my certificate?

You will receive your certificate within 24 hours of finishing the class or sooner. The certificate can be emailed to you, to your attorney or can simply be printed out. You can return to our web site and request additional copies of your certificate at no cost.

My spouse and I filed for bankruptcy together. Will (s)he also need to take the class?

If you and your spouse filed for bankruptcy together and have the same bankruptcy case number, you can both take the course together and pay just once. You each will get your own certificate.

I am worried about passing the class. How difficult will the class be? Will there be any tests?

The class is designed with all kinds of people in mind. There are no tests. The important thing is that you get something out of the class, not how well you do on any test.

How will I pay for the course?

You or your attorney can pay online by credit card, debit card, pay pal, money order, or by electronic check. You can also have anyone else pay your fee for you.
